The Big Wave season is leveling up the stakes beyond just the Jaws and Nazaré events. The WSL Big Wave Record Chase will reward surfers who catch a world record-setting ride. With a total of $500,000 up for grabs, $100,000 will go to each athlete who achieves a world record, plus $25,000 to their crew. The rewards are massive and the chase is officially on.
