WSL One Ocean Mid Year Impact

As we head into the mid-way point of our 2023 WSL Championship Tour season, we are taking a moment to look back on all of the incredible work we have accomplished so far this year in partnership with our 2023 grantee organizations and community partners across the globe.

  • Billabong Pro Pipeline: Over 1 acre of invasive species removed and 100 native plants established
  • Hurley Pro Sunset Beach: Planted 40 native plant species and site prepped for future compost machine
  • MEO Pro Portugal: Over 60 community members educated on the benefits of kelp ecosystems and 6 kelp tree structures created
  • Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach: 300 square meters of invasive species removed to prevent coastal erosion
  • Western Australia Margaret River Pro: 300 native plants established in coastal rehabilitation area to prevent coastal erosion

Show us what you are doing to protect our one ocean by posting on social media with the hashtag #WSLOneOcean and tagging @WSL and @WSLOneOcean in your posts.
