The Catch Up Day 5: Head-to-head bouts ensue in Ballito, first Quarterfinalists emerge

Men's Round of 16 action provided plenty of entertainment and drama at the Ballito Pro Presented by O'Neill with established names finding their form amid more upsets.

The local crowd had everything to shout for with Luke Thompson surging into the Quarterfinals before Eli Hanneman put on a showcase of progression and commitment. Oscar Barry put a damper on South Africa's support crew after eliminating Matthew McGillivray. Plus recent CTers Liam O'Brien and George Pittar put on a showcase of rail surfing at its finest. But, Lucas Silveira's freefall straight into the barrel captivated judges and fans alike to provide the day's best single-scoring moment. Now, Quarterfinals are set as women's Round of 16 bouts await.
