A huge thank you to @wsl and @xxlbigwaveawards for putting on such an amazing night last week. My favorite part of that night is to see all of the crazy footage from all around the world, truly inspired by all of the people pushing the limits in #bigwavesurfing. Congrats to all of all of the girls, not just the nominees, I'm so honored to have won that award but I think you all deserved it too. I hope next year there will be more than just one award for the women, to provide a platform to show more of the amazing surfing the women are doing! It was a huge year of amazing rides and I truly believe this year was the best ever for women's big wave surfing. Winning felt pretty surreal but I was beyond stoked to have my heros talk about my Peahi wave, thank you to all of the guys who are so supportive of the women. Super stoked that the @mauifilmfestival will be the US premiere for my documentary @thewaveiride . The festival is June 3-7 and May 1st they will be announcing what day and time, but I have been told Celestial Cinemas under the stars!!!
