This week the contestants are told to take a well-earned break, but there's a catch. While there is no official Beach Battle, all of the eliminated contestants have returned to the Ranch as Wildcards to compete for a chance to rejoin the show.
So while the remaining contestants are safe from elimination, they do need to put some work in: Jesse Palmer lets everyone know that it will be up to them to decide the teams for the Wildcards who will compete in a special Wave Challenge.
This requires some strategy. Any contestant who rejoins the show will be competing with a doubled-down intensity to become The Ultimate Surfer, so it becomes a game of chess to try and ensure that the strongest competitors do not return.
