The competition is being streamed live into 26 official Rip Curl Pro Live Site cafés, restaurants and venues throughout Torquay and the surrounding area.

Torquay is the official start of the Great Ocean Road and home of Australia’s surfing capital.

Torquay boasts brilliant beaches and towering cliffs criss-crossed by easy-access walk and bike trails.

Torquay is home to the famous Bells Beach, Australia’s most famous surfing beach which hosts the world’s longest running professional surfing event, the Rip Curl Pro. In Easter big swells and off-shore winds make the waves show off Bells at its best. Possibly the most famous beach in the world, the high cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop to the massive ocean swells and serve as a wonderful vantage point for onlookers.

Driving beyond Torquay along the Great Ocean Road, you come to Anglesea, Aireys Inlet, and Lorne â€" all with their own character, and you’ll never get tired of the views.

Constructed by returned World War I Soldiers as a memorial to their fallen colleagues, the Great Ocean Road is one of the world’s greatest drives and a “must-do” experience that will leave you spellbound by the natural beauty of this dramatic coast.

The internationally celebrated Great Ocean Walk, starting at Apollo Bay and stretching 104 kilometres to the 12 Apostles attracts international visitors. Shorter, equally breathtaking trails such as the newly opened Surf Coast Walk will take you to long sandy beaches, rocky outcroppings, dense fern gullies, waterfalls and ancient rainforests. It runs from Torquay past Bells Beach to Aireys Inlet.
