The Boardmasters Longboard Pro, a WSL men's and women's Longboard Tour (LT) 1,000 event, is ready to kick off the European Longboard title race at Fistral. Event No. 1 of 2 in the 2015 season, the Boardmasters Longborad Pro will play a deciding role in awarding the coveted tickets for the World Longboard finals.

"Everyone's really excited about kicking off the season in Newquay," said tour manager Rob Gunning. "The Boardmasters have been on our schedule for years in the past and it's definitely one of the athletes' favorites. With only two events this season, every result will count and we expect great battles out there. The Women's division is an exciting new addition to the surf festival. I'm sure the crowds will love all the action from their favorite local surfers and some of the best pros on tour."
Event organizers and surfers will meet at 8 a.m. local time August 8 to decide if conditions allow competition to start at Fistral.
