Day 1 of the Port Stephens Toyota NSW Pro Women's QS6,000 has kicked off at the backup location of One Mile Beach. A huge south swell is battering the main event site of Briubi Beach which has forced a location change to the more remote second option. Beacuse of this the the live webcast will not be running for the opening day of competition.
With the swell forecasted to slightly drop and winds become more favourable on Day 2, the contest should return to the main site where the webcast will be fully operational.
Day 1 will see Rounds One and Two of the women's completed along with 6 heats of Round Three. Men's QS1,000 is off for today.
