Bummer Pick: Julian Wilson
The 2017 Tahiti champion wasn't able to repeat his magic run in this year's event. The ocean went quiet during his Round 2 matchup with local Wildcard Tikanui Smith. Wilson was left searching for a 1.84 as time and 57% of perfect lineups expired.

Key Moment
Filipe Toledo made his Title intentions clear by spending extra time training in Tahiti prior to the event. It didn't take long for the hard work to pay off-Filipe quickly got into a rhythm and nabbed an 8.50, the highest score of Round 1. The momentum continued all the way to a career high 3rd place finish at Teahupo'o, a spot in the perfect Fantasy lineup, and a 6,300 point lead in the Title Race.

0 Perfect MCT Fantasy Lineups
No one has achieved the elusive perfect lineup for a Men's event in 2018. Luca Haole came the closest during Tahiti, picking seven of eight perfect-lineup surfers. Had he started Mikey February instead of Jesse Mendes in Tier C he would have had it! Cheers Luca.
