Forget the judges, heat scores and all of the minutiae that comes with competitive surfing for a moment. We've just launched the Fan Favorite Award, which gives you, the loyal surf fan, the power to celebrate the surfers that have inspired you over the 2018 season.
As a new category of the 2019 WSL Awards, this distinction will be given to the 2018 Championship Tour surfer that receives the most fan votes through a head-to-head bracket system.

For you fans, this could mean voting for the 2018 CT surfer that you felt was most improved, went the biggest, won the most events, or was simply your personal favorite.
This honor will be recognized during the WSL Awards ceremony on March 31, on the Gold Coast, and the winners will not only bring home the bragging rights but also a custom 1978 MR Retro Twin Fin.
