Waida narrowly beat out Oney Anwar for the honor, with the veteran Indo surfer getting defeated in Round 4 Heat 2 at the Gold Coast Open. According to the current heart draw, Waida is set to face off against defending World Champ Gabriel Medina and Deivid Silva in Heat 6 of the Seeding round.
