Lakey Peterson had a great 2019 season, contending for the World Title all year. And as she gears up for another lap around the world in 2020 she'll be doing it with a new sticker on the nose of her board.
It was just announced that Peterson will now be riding for the new brand Sisstrevolution.
"I like that Sisstrevolution is a modern brand with a total female point of view that can take
from what's worked for the surf industry and avoid what hasn't," said Peterson in a press statement. "It's exciting to be a part of the new evolution of such a female focused surf brand."
Sisstrevolution was launched a year ago and Peterson is the biggest name on their growing roster. A brand specifically created and designed for women in the water and on the beach, it's a unique opportunity for both Peterson and Sisstrevolution to take things to the next level this year.
Peterson's already fired up and looking to have another go at capturing her first World Title.
"When you come really close to achieving something and you just fall short a few times in a row, for me, it's adds more fuel to my motivation to win," noted Peterson. "I know what I need to do to get there. I'm pretty fired up to beat people and win. To be my best and achieve what I want which is to win a World Title.
She added, "I'm not here to get second place. I'm fired up. It's going to be fun."
