Europe's waves have been in the limelight of late, with two Countdown Series events and a run of swell that's lit up everywhere from the famed French beach breaks to Nazare.

But during the recent run of swell -- described as the biggest in six years -- Leonardo Fioravanti scored what could arguably be described as Europe's best wave.

Either way, Mundaka is definitely the continent's best Left, and Leo lucked into some backside barrels at the famously fickle harbor-side wave, groomed by a strong offshore wind and sporting some full-length rubber in the late Autumn.

Oh, and he also scratches into some twenty-foot-plus waves on a big-wave gun he was riding for the very first time...

This is the latest of several European scores for Leo, which should put him in good stead to kick off his Championship Tour campaign in just a few weeks.
