As if it couldn't get any better than surfing epic, triple-overhead barrels with one other person and water patrol, Nat Young (USA) has won the ASP GoPro Challenge.

Of 18 submissions, Young's sunset shots of a Teahupo'o tube and its reform won over the judges. The Santa Cruz, CA native scores a $10,000 cash prize, plus the best bragging rights short of making the podium.

Young's Winning ASP GoPro Challenge Submission
WCT sophomore Nat Young takes off on a drainer running toward Tahitian peaks.

The ASP GoPro Challenge asks competing surfers to submit their videos from the contest venue starting two days prior to the contest window, and no later than the conclusion of the competition. Tahiti's Challenge is the third in the series, following face-offs at Margaret River and Fiji. Judging criteria and previous winners are listed here.
