To the Nines: Fiji's Mind-Blowing Performances

Owen Wright (AUS) was fired up again during his Semifinal heat at the Fiji Pro. A day after posting a perfect score -- the seventh ever in surfing history -- the Aussie found this hollow tube and scored a near-perfect 9.43.

After a stellar overall performance in Fiji so far, Julian Wilson (AUS) pulled into this heavy tube during the Fiji Pro Quarterfinals for 9.43. He went on to win his heat over rookie Italo Ferreira (BRA), to make his first Fiji Semis ever.

Taj Burrow (AUS), one of the veterans on Tour, took his chances on this heavy one in Round 5 at the Fiji Pro and was rewarded with an impressive 9.07.

Dane Reynolds (USA) slides into Cloudbreak -- waits -- and pulls into long tube to add 9.57 to an already excellent range 8.77 in Round 3. Reynolds threw a ripple through the Top 34 taking down Jeep Leader Adriano de Souza (BRA) with his 18.34 two-wave total.

Showing off the kind of expert wave knowledge that he discussed on WSL's Dawn Patrol, Kelly Slater (USA) threaded his way into a long, narrow tube during Round 3 at the Fiji Pro for a near-perfect 9.90. He makes it sound easy -- but it looks less so.

In one of his strongest heats of the 2015 season, Kolohe Andino (USA) synced up a series of turns during Round 2 and was awarded 9.20 for his efforts.

Ricardo Christie (NZL) earned a whopping 9.57 for tearing apart this solid wave during Round 2.
