While the iconic Basque coastline is under assault from the best European professional surfers competing at the inaugural Pro Anglet, the Tourism Office of Anglet hasn't forgotten the public enjoying idyllic summer conditions this week.
Besides the high-performance surfing going down every day at la Chambre d'Amour, an extensive program of on and off-site activities promise fun for everyone.
Noraa, a young German singer with African roots who has been supporting act on tour with international sensation Patrice, will sings her melodious tunes Wednesday night from 9pm on the event podium.
Thursday night, Hollywood stars invade la Chambre d'Amour with an outside projection of Chasing Mavericks, a movie depicting the story of Jay Moriarty, legendary Californian surfer, at 9:30pm on the event podium as well.
Friday, local institution La Chope will host a post-surf apero on the waters edge to entertain Anglet locals and tourists alike.
Saturday will celebrate the end of French summer holidays with fireworks illuminating the skies above Anglet famed beaches, as soon as the sun sets over the Atlantic.
Finally, every night of the week when the Pro Anglet calls it a day, Carlsberg will put on an After-Surf music set at the following venues:
