In heavy conditions on the North Shore, the Vans World Cup of Surfing came to a dramatic finish with Mick Fanning (AUS) claiming his first-ever victory at Sunset Beach. The event also marks the conclusion of the 2015 Qualifying Series season which saw Conner Coffin (USA) and other rookies make the cut for the 2016 Championship Tour.
