Thursday, June 8 was World Oceans Day, a pro-planet global event to promote environmental awareness and oceanic health. At hundreds of events around the world, surfers, beach enthusiasts and environmentalists participated in beach clean-ups, parties and seaside gatherings to raise awareness about the critical role that oceans, and their vitality, play in daily life.
