In the newest installment of O'Neill's original video series 'Strike Missions', Jordy Smith takes his buddies Ian Crane and Soli Bailey on an overland adventure across his native South Africa.

Chasing barrels, ramps and all the local flavor they can soak up, the video is more evidence that Jordy is surfing like a finely tuned machine these days.

He closed out last season third in the World, after remaining firmly in the World Title race all the way to the Pipe. His best season finish since 2016, he also closed out the year provisionally qualifying for the South African Olympic team.

But now with the pressure of the Championship Tour off his shoulders for the time being, and the Tokyo Games officially postponed until 2021, Jordy is ensconced at his home on the North Shore. And each new video that drops shows the 32-year-old looking lose, limber and relaxed.

He's been closely following Kid Peligo's Ginastica Natural workout routine that he credits with overcoming his flexibility issues -- and he's even found time to bag a few local skate sessions with the Florence boys.
