Kolohe Andino's run at the 2014 event title ended in the Semifinals when Medina tallied a 9.07.
Andino logged two nines in his Quarterfinal win over Adriano de Souza (BRA), his first -- a 9.13 -- was earned for this backhand barrel.
Andino punctuated his Quarterfinals victory over De Souza with a series of blistering backhand turns for a 9.23.
This 9.87 led to a Quarterfinal spot for John John Florence (HAW).
