The European seven-event summer leg continues this week and heads to the Western tip of Spain for the 29th edition of the Pantin Classic Galicia Pro.
A combined men and women's QS6,000 event, this year's Pantin Classic will host the very best of the QS field internationally as well as a few Championship Tour surfers and play a vital role in the qualifying campaigns of the next generation of surfing talent.
Past editions of the event have seen the greatest champions compete in classic conditions and the 2016 edition will undoubtedly serve up another fantastic week of surfing action in the Pantin waters.
The venue: la playa de Pantin is a naturally built surfing arena with a large grassy area dominating the pristine beach. Swells come hit the sandbanks here and produce powerful waves, perfect for high-performance surfing.
Monday will see the Pantin Classic Pro Heritage Trials unfold, the newest addition in Pantin to award one final wildcard into the main event. Twenty-four surfers, including twelve past competitors and their twelve mentees will have a shot at entering the coveted QS6,000 event.

In 2016, the Pantin Classic Galicia Pro also takes a leap forward in protecting the astonishing environment surrounding the event, with the Pantin Ecosurf initiative.
