"It's fantastic to be back in South Sumatra for the Krui Pro," said Contest Director Will Hayden-Smith. "This event has grown and gotten bigger and better every year. I have had a lot of competitors tell me that they've seen the amazing waves on the WSL broadcast over the last two years and they couldn't wait to come here. Thanks to the Indonesian Government, Bupati Dr. Agus Istiqlal, and the locals here on the West Coast of the Lampung Province for supporting surfing here."

Minister of Tourism's advisor, Indroyono Soesilo was thrilled to see so many International competitors arrive in Lampung, Sumatra for Indonesia's first ever QS3,000.

"This is the third Krui Pro - we started with a QS1,000, then upgraded to QS1,500 last year and now we are proud to have a QS3,000," Mr Indriono Soesilo said.
