It's never been a secret that young Jackson Dorian would do big things in surfing. He's grown up charging overhead barrels and stomping huge airs beyond his years. Now at 13-years-old, he is welcomed to the Reef family with open arms.
Jackson Dorian was born to surf - growing up with a strong support crew behind him including his dad, big wave legend Shane Dorian, who spent 11 years on Tour before revolutionizing big wave surfing through his wetsuit flotation technology. He's also the godson of Kelly Slater, the undisputed greatest surfer of all time. Dorian's support runs deep, and so does his natural talent.
His style is continuing to evolve in all types of waves both in the ocean and in fresh water. In 2017, at 11-years-old, he had his first experience at the Surf Ranch, strengthening his reputation as a surfing prodigy.
Since then, he went on a tear at Waco, and traveled all through Australia, Indonesia, and the Maldives - honing his craft even further. He also caddied for Slater at Sunset during the Vans World Cup of Surfing.
The time has flown by since Jackson first put his feet in the wax and we're excited to see what's to come. Go get 'em, Jackson.
