Remember in January when Billy Kemper scored the wave of his life at Pe'ahi? That run of swell was just about as good as Jaws gets. A precise northwest brought massive, hollow waves, and by some miracle the conditions remained glassy for days.

"January 23rd at Pe'ahi was all time because there was no wind. A rare occurence on Maui's north shore. And rarely combined with giant, giant surf," Kai Lenny told us earlier in the year.

These back-to-back winter swells beckoned big wave chargers from around the world, and Nathan Florence couldn't resist jetting over from Oahu. And in typical Nate fashion, he didn't hold back.

Here's Nate's full, raw Jaws session that shows everything from bagging massive sets to coughing up water after hold downs.

"For size reference this day was roughly 20-25ft, [so] 40-50ft faces," Nathan adds.
