While he's doing a good job of getting his name and face out there in the United States, where he's really nailing it is in the wider world. He's pulling in non-endemic sponsors hand-over-fist, surfing the best waves on the planet, and he knows just how lucky he is to be doing it. He's a busy guy, and that means one thing: Kanoa Igarashi doesn't watch a lot of surf movies.
That's why Vanity Fair recently had him sit down to review a few Hollywood surf films, from Point Break (the new one) to Blue Crush. It quickly becomes clear that he hasn't seen any of them except for Surf's Up. Fair play, though. He's got other shit to do.
