When there's swell on the West Coast, whether it's from the north or the south, Lower Trestles picks it up. This Fourth of July saw a more-than-decent run of south swell. It might not've been as big as 2020's epic July 4th swell, but certainly more well-attended considering the Covid-impaired holiday weekend we all experienced last year.

On Sunday, Lowers was overhead and clean. SoCal Surfer was there to document the action. Jackson Dorian was out shredding the double over-grom waves, Joel Tudor was carving longer lines on a midlength, and even the GOAT made an appearance. If the WSL Finals, scheduled for this September see conditions anything close to this at the world famous break, it'll be an entertaining finals for sure.
