Surfing Queensland is pleased to announce the reintroduction of an ASP Qualifying Series (QS) event to Burleigh Heads in January 2015. The three-day 2015 Scoot Burleigh Pro presented by Vissla will be a World Surf League (WSL) QS 1000-rated men's and women's event.

The Scoot Burleigh Pro, presented by Vissla will take place January 30-Feb 1 at the iconic Burleigh Headland. The event should provide a great warm-up for some of the best surfers in the world who will later compete at the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro contests at Snapper Rocks.
“We're excited to be able to put an event of this magnitude back on the point at Burleigh Heads," said Surfing Queensland CEO, Adam Yates. "I'm looking forward to seeing some of the best surfers in the world compete at what is a world-class location. This is a great opportunity for local surfers wanting to prove themselves at an elite level."
The Scoot Burleigh Pro, presented by Vissla, will have a prize purse of $15,000 up for grabs and will be the first QS event on the 2015 Australian surfing calendar.
